Record-breaking olympian and entreprenuer Allyson Felix receives 2023 KPMG inspire greatness award

Felix honored at KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit for being a powerful voice for women in sports and business

NEW YORK, JUNE 21 – KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, is proud to present Allyson Felix, track-and-field icon and entrepreneur, with the 2023 KPMG Inspire Greatness Award at today’s KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit where she will serve as the closing keynote speaker.

As the most decorated track and field Olympian in U.S. history, Felix continues to redefine athletics and make an impact both on and off the track. She serves as an advisor to a female-led and focused venture fund, acts as an investor in multiple companies, and founded Saysh, a women’s footwear and lifestyle brand rooted in supporting women as athletes and mothers, serves as an advisor to a female-led and focused venture fund, and acts as an investor in multiple companies.

Felix is also deeply involved in her community and serves on the board of directors for advocacy organizations &Mother and Right to Play. She also partners with Athleta, Voice in Sport, and the Women’s Sports Foundation with the goal of building a better future for women.

Aligned with the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship’s goal of elevating women in business and golf, the KPMG Inspire Greatness Award is presented each year to an industry visionary who has exemplified a personal commitment to the community to empower future generations of women, and who recognizes golf as a relationship development tool. Previous honorees of the KPMG Inspire Greatness Award include former PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi; film director Patty Jenkins; award-winning journalist Robin Roberts; soccer star Mia Hamm; retired Four-Star U.S. Navy Adm. Michelle Howard; former IBM Chairman, President, and CEO Ginni Rometty; LPGA legend and entrepreneur Annika Sorenstam; and 66th U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice.

The KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit, now in its ninth year, continues to build a pipeline of women leaders on the path to the C-suite. Through high-impact leadership development content, access to today’s top leaders, and year-long networking opportunities, KPMG aims to provide support to these women as they advance in their careers. 

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, a collaboration between KPMG, PGA of America and the LPGA, combines an annual world-class, major golf championship with the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit and KPMG Future Leaders Program – all focused on the advancement and empowerment of women on and off the golf course. The Championship will take place June 22– 25 at Baltusrol Golf Club – and will be broadcast on NBC, Golf Channel, and Peacock.

Net proceeds from the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit fund the KPMG Future Leaders Program, a charitable initiative that provides top female high school seniors across the country the opportunity to enhance their personal growth through college scholarships, a leadership development retreat, mentorship, and an introduction to golf. To date, more than $5.3 million in scholarships have been awarded to 166 students.
